Loading... Power of Vitamin D: A Vitamin D Book That Contains the Most Comprehensive and Useful Information on Vitamin D Deficiency, Vitamin D Level (edition 2010)by MD Sarfraz ZaidiEven though I enjoy healthy living and advice books; it has been my experience that medical journals and books in general are quite dry. But, to my surprise, I found the Power of Vitamin D quite the opposite, it includes stories that were engaging; with supporting case studies throughout. In fact, at times, it was hard to put down. Dr. Zaidi provides facts that I could readily apply to my life. Being an athlete myself, with a portfolio of races, 1 half ironman, 49 half marathons and 6 marathons, it is important that I eat healthy and am good to my body as I grow older. Sarfraz Zaidi provided a plethora of valuable advice that I could immediately apply to my daily life. This book is rich with advice about the harmful effects of low vitamin D levels. It also provides historical evidence to back the need for Vitamin D and where you can find Vitamin D sources to incorporate in your diet. There’s even a nice conversion table in the back to help with portion conversion. This is a well-written, easy to read and a well-informed guide which I would recommend to all of my health conscious colleagues, marathon friends, and acquaintances to help them better understand the value and importance of incorporating Vitamin D intake in their daily lives. |
